About The Voice Of Children Ministry |

"The Voice of Children" is a church, school and orphanage that was founded by Brother Bethonne Louis Juste and his wife Martina in the country of Haiti. Here are a few words from Brother Bethonne: "The needs are great here both spiritually and materially. I'm now helping 100 orphans, and call my ministry 'The Voice of Children'. I love these precious children with all my heart. My wife and myself are working very hard to keep them alive with food and shelter. My people are suffering very badly from hunger, and they desperately need proper medical care. My heart goes out for them, and I am willing to do my best to help them. The only way I can manage to do this is by the grace of God, and I am strengthened through your prayers and support. I assure you that every penny donated to this ministry will be used for what it is designated for. 100% of donations are used for the ministry. I have no advertising, administrative costs or any other expenditure other than food, clothing and shelter for the children." |

| About the Founder | |

Bethonne was the local Haitian pastor who started the Voice of Children ministry. Here is what he had to say about his calling: "My name is Bethonne Louis Juste (Bay-tone Lu-e-jus). I was born January 25th, 1949. My wife's name is Martina, and we have three children, two boys and one girl." "I gave my heart to God in 1963. The Lord called me in ministry in 1965, and since then I have started to preach His word from place to place in Haiti. In 1968, God put a special burden in my heart for little starving orphans. I started to pray about this calling, and the Lord confirmed it in 1971 as I started to feed these children from my own little salary I earned as a school teacher." "In 1973, I quit my job teaching in school and dedicated myself in full time ministry. Since that time, I have started several churches, schools and orphanages. I'm now pastoring one church and have other churches under my supervision. I place one local pastor in each church."

| Who Runs The Mission | |
Zion Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee serves as the primary US point of contact and organizing group for the VOC ministry. Services and goods provided to VOC, including this webpage, are done so by US volunteers at no cost or overhead to the ministry. On his last trip to the
U.S. in the Fall of 2003, Bethonne expressed his wish that Doyle
Shultz carry on the VOC work
here in the US.
He sent a letter to his regular contributors asking
them to send contributions to Doyle, so he could track the
funds and send a collective check to the ministry as the money came in to
Voice of Children. Zion
Baptist first met Bethonne in 1981, and asked him speak at
the church. The
church sent it's first mission team to VOC in 1982.
This team included
Doyle and Ruth Ann Schultz, and they have been
heavily involved
since that time.
Pastor Tom
Berry is also very active in the ministry, and organizes mission
trips to the VOC facilities in Haiti as well.
